What a Decade!

Coming up to the 10th edition of our beloved gathering, we look back and see the trail of powerful experiences and connections that have emerged over the years.

We made it…! And we deserve to celebrate together, without forgetting that the World needs us more than ever, that cultivating conscious community is what humanity is crying out for, and that our choices matter.

The Peacock has arrived to celebrate this milestone with all of us! For the last 5 years at the land of Amara, we’ve been hearing these beautiful and exotic creatures call to us from the other side of the valley. And this year they decided to start paying regular visits, appearing in auspicious moments, walking majestically around the grounds and bringing a sense of safety and beauty that has permeated into what 2025 is coming to be: a year to embody Fullness.

As we start to tune into the messages and symbolisms of this charismatic bird, we realise that this Summer edition of Agni is about shining bright, about sharing the learnings of the past decade, of showing each other with pride and joy how much we’ve changed over these years and how are we forging the next generation of Agni burners. The Peacock has the power to live in dangerous places where poisonous plants and animals are all around and yet, transform this poison into the medicine of Beauty.

THE VISION

AGNI was born and raised out of the love and creativity of an ever-expanding community.

It has always combined the things we like best in life – deep connection, joyful relating, creative expression, wisdom culture, good food and the good groove – in service of our healing and growth. It’s an expression of the ways that yoga, music, intimate love and transformative festivals from Burning Man to Luminate have shaped our lives, and we’ve always sought to share whatever inspiration we could from them.

Life can be hard, and the last few years have presented many challenges to many of us. At Agni we’ve laughed and we’ve cried together, we’ve danced it all out, shared our deepest fears in ceremonies, and melted into each other arms with pure infinite Love. As we recognise the need and responsibility to rise up to the necessity of a meaningful event that goes beyond our individual needs for self-growth and enjoyment, we also deeply feel the collective need to look back at what we have created together, take some weight off our shoulders and celebrate each other for all these years of creative, tenacious, hearty celebration – transmuting the poisons of a world gone mad into medicine and fuel for us all.

There’s no certainty that Agni will continue for another 10 years, but one thing is for real, if the End line was this year,

THE CULTURE

THE GIFT OF KNOWLEDGE

The Amara land will be holding our gathering, and the community here will be sharing our talents, knowledge, joy, and ideas. This year we feel the need to embrace the maturity of the event in a whole different level, by creating workshops and sessions that resonate with the needs of a changing World. For that, we are inviting a few experienced people to share knowledge that can be of service for our lives: from learning about the moon cycles, to creating with natural materials like clay, fire keeping in modern times, communication skills, and wisdom circles.

There will still be space for a co-creative program that you can participate in! Whether workshops, performances, games or art, we invite you to consider the theme of this year when applying for the co-creative program.

Agni has always drawn on the spirit of the Burn and other co-creative events, meaning that we are doing it together and everyone involved is a key part of making this event happening. There are no spectators – everyone is a participant, creator and enjoyer!

INCLUSION & COOPERATION

This gathering will be made by and for everyone who comes. Its depth and meaning will be enhanced by finding intelligent and effective ways of cooperating to make the whole thing happen.

In the ticket form you will be able to choose an area in where you would like to help. We will create spreadsheets to organise the different kinds of activities and tasks that will be necessary for us to come together this way – such as helping set things up, preparing food, cleaning up, or curating experiences. What you join will be up to you! We trust that between us all we can create a powerful experience for everyone.

This is the foundation of so much of what has inspired us most at Agni and the Burn events over the years. This is a space to share culture with each other, to surprise and enliven, share wisdom and fresh ideas, to feel the freedom in our own skin. Performance, play, costumes, theatrics, music – let your imagination run wild, and enjoy Agni as a chance to share something with us in a way you never have before.

THE FOOD

NOURISHING OURSELVES

Coming together around delicious food is one of the pillars of the Amara project and has always been a great part of Agni. Between us all we will make kitchen teams each day, and if you are interested being a part of making the Agni Kitchen happen there are limited volunteer spots this year (see below!).

Our aim will be that we share delicious and nutritious vegetarian and vegan food. At Amara we endeavour to buy goods from local producers wherever possible. If you grow food and would like to bring it, we will be very happy to include that! And of course if you would like to bring special ingredients or treats to share, apart from the main menu ingredients, the yumminess can only increase…

AGNI BREAKFAST & AMRITA CACAO BAR

If you have been to Agni before you probably have noticed that we love changing things each year! We love to observe, feel, get feedback and keep evolving so that the event is alive and developing alongside us.

This year included in the ticket there will be LUNCH + DINNER every day. For morning breakfast, afternoon treats and evening power, we will have an Agni Bar that will provide delicious options for everyone at affordable prices. With this we want to give the option to have more variety with food and drinks, as well as take some pressure away from the main kitchen so they can really focus on delivering amazing meals every day!

You are also welcome to bring your own snacks for those hungry moments!

Also to note:

Agni will remain alcohol- and meat-free, and we ask that you don’t bring any with you.

THE VENUE

STAYING AT AMARA

AMARA VALLEY in many ways came out of the force of spirit we developed together at Agni. We could not have navigated these past 5 years without all the practical, personal and celebratory learnings we had from gathering in this way every year! And all of you have helped us to lift up this project, in all sorts of ways, since before the beginning.

And we are so proud to feel that Amara has become the home of Agni.

If you have a tent or van, or perhaps are happy just hanging your hammock somewhere and sleeping under the stars, we have ample space to host you on the Amara Valley land, and this is included in the basic ticket of your registration. If you’d like to stay in a room in the house, or even one of our beautiful Suites, Amara will ask for a further contribution for the different types of accommodation available. This helps us make offering this event more sustainable for us as a project.

ZERO WASTE: LEAVE NO TRACE

We’ve endeavoured to minimise the amount of waste produced through all the Agni events, and we do the same at Amara. The shift to a “zero waste” policy in 2019 was a great step toward that, with every participant taking responsibility for their own material impact, and reducing it as much as possible. However there’s always been an inevitable amount of waste and material to recycle generated by the kitchen and production teams, to cater for the collective experience.

This year we will have our amazing friends from Precious Plastics curating an artistic experience with the waste created during the festival. We want to put our resource use in a visible centre of the event and make a record of how we use important resources like water and fuel. We propose this as an experiment to follow on from past benchmarks, to help us continue our way towards a truly zero-waste way of gathering.
