And so we go: the second Donation-based retreat in Amara Valley!
For the past 6 years of this project we have met so many wonderful people: locals, visitors, ex-pats, residents, teachers, artists, professionals, guests, volunteers, and everyone in between! The Amara community extends now beyond the land, the valley and the mountains. With the growth of the project and the maturity that comes along the way, we are now running throughout the year, fully booked for 2026 with incredible retreats, trainings and festivals.
We are thrilled that Amara continues to become a centre of reference for conscious and transformative work and we want the focus and energy to reach as many people as possible. We believe in the transformative power of retreat experiences and the magic that happens when people come together to create something beautiful.
So, this August, we’re excited to offer the second edition of this co-creative retreat run by donation, an experiment in community, generosity, and shared abundance.
What Makes This Retreat Special
This isn’t your typical retreat. Instead of a fixed price for a fixed program led solely by our team, we’re creating a collaborative experience where everyone is both participant and contributor. Drawing inspiration from our beloved Agni festival, we’re inviting you to join us for:

The Spirit of Co-Creation
When we gather without fixed hierarchies or commercial expectations, magic happens. This retreat is an invitation to explore what’s possible when we share our gifts freely and receive with gratitude.
We’ll provide the container, basic structure, and plenty of offerings from the Amara team. You’re invited to contribute your unique talents, whether that’s leading a workshop, sharing a song, helping with meals, or simply bringing your full presence.
RETREAT PROGRAM
We do it together! Inspired by co-creative events such as Agni Festival, Burning Man and many others, in this retreat there will be the possibility to share your gifts, talents and knowledge with everyone that comes. The Amara team, will present a frame for every day, offering classes and sessions with the possibility to add more sessions each day. You will be able to propose them in advance or offer them spontaneously.

FAQ:
In order to keep a fairly intimate gathering, we will cap this retreat at around 50 participants.
Absolutely! Kids and families are welcome. We just ask you to consider the donation if the kid is going to take up a bed space in the house. Note that on our regular retreat prices, kids 0-4yrs don’t pay if they share bed with parents and for 5-12yrs they pay half price of the accommodation and food. We really want money not to be the reason for you not to join this retreat. That’s why the donation is open according to your situation in life and the resources you have at the moment. We ask for a 50€ commitment to make sure that the decision of coming is serious, which is essential for us to plan the meals and accommodation properly ahead of time. Then we suggest that your donation reflect the type of accommodation you want, and for reference we include our current normal costs at the centre so you can understand how Amara usually operates. This is a retreat based on trust, transparency and reciprocity, so you decide how this experience is valued.
There are many ways! We will have a board to cover basic daily shifts of cooking, cleaning, and other maintenance tasks around the place to take care of the spaces together. You can also offer a class, workshop, concert, game or anything that you want to gift to the community.
We would like to incentivize the sharing of rooms to make sure that everyone can get a bed in the house if they want. However, if you feel that a single room is necessary for you, we ask you to donate accordingly!
We are located 15min from Banyoles, which you can reach very easily by public transport from Barcelona or Girona. However, a few days before the retreat we will send a shared document to share rides between everyone. This is the link to GOOGLE MAPS if you are coming by car.

THE AMARA KITCHEN
Our chefs are renowned for the outstanding quality of their meals and their attention to detail. We serve beautiful vegetarian/vegan meals and you are in for a treat! The kitchen is the heart of every home, and we care for every detail to deliver meals designed with seasonal, locally produced ingredients creating dishes bursting with flavour, colour and nutritional goodness.
MASSAGE & THERAPIES
Our therapists will take care of your body and help you enter a deeper state of relaxation, to be able to absorb and digest all the information, stimulation and of course the food that we will be preparing and eating together. Nothing better than taking care of ourselves over a long weekend where we will engage in good habits!
These sessions have an extra cost:

SAUNA
One of the Amara highlights is our wood-burning Sauna that, when combined with pool plunges, strongly activates the circulatory system, helping regenerate our cells and tone our nervous system. Bring a towel or pareo to sit on, drink lots of water, and get your sweat on!

There are various types of accommodation and they will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis upon registration. You will be able to see the Amara prices for each room and then make your decision on the value for your 3 night stay.

Cancellation Policy
After registering through this form, the Commitment Fee will not be refundable and your donation will be added to the greater good of the retreat!
However if due to “Force Majeure” circumstances you need to cancel the retreat, we could reimburse the Donation part up to 21 days prior to the starting date of the retreat.
